WASHER MACHINE USAGE RULES 

(For the sake of coexistence and proper care of the appliance)

We love being able to offer you the use of a washing machine to make your stay more comfortable.

This service will be offered as long as it does not create conflicts among guests; for that, it is essential to respect these rules:

1. ⏰USAGE HOURS

• The washing machine must not be used between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM to respect others' rest.

2. 🔄 PRIOR AUTHORIZATION

• The washing machine may only be used with prior authorization.
• In principle, each room may use it once per week.
• If you need to use it more often, please ask first: there might be an additional cost.

3. 🧺 BEFORE WASHING

• Make sure there is enough space available for drying your clothes before starting a wash
• Make sure pockets are empty before putting clothes in the washing machine.
• Do not wash underwire bras unless the wires are removed beforehand..
• Do not run the machine with a very small load: ensure it is reasonably full (at least half load).. If you have a small amount of laundry, you may ask other guests if they wish to share a wash.
• Please note that the washing machine has an 8 kg capacity.

4. ⚙️ PROPER USE

• Use short programs for lightly soiled clothing.
• Use long programs only when necessary.
• Do not use the washing machine as a dirty laundry basket.
  → Hang up your clothes immediately after the wash cycle ends.
  → If you don't, another guest may remove your clothes and place them in the prepared basket to free up the machine.

5. 🚫 DO NOT WASH

• Sport shoes, regular shoes, or flip-flops, for hygiene and drum safety reasons.
• Pet clothing or accessories, as other tenants may have allergies.
• Blankets, duvets, or thick jackets, as their weight can damage the washing machine’s gears. Please take these items to a laundromat.

6. 🫧 DETERGENTS

• Do not use Fairy, dish soap, shower gel, or any other product not intended for washing machines, as they create too much foam and can damage the machine.

7. 🧼DRYING

• Clothes must not stay hanging for more than 12 hours. After that time, another guest may remove them and place them in the basket without the obligation to fold them.
• Do not touch other people's clothes, unless a guest fails to follow the immediate drying or collection rules.

8. 🔧MAINTENANCE

• Remove your clothes as soon as possible after the cycle ends so others can use the machine.
• Clean  the detergent drawer or the filter f they are dirty..

9. ⚠️ RESPONSABILITY

• Each guest is responsible for any damage caused by improper use.

🌟 IMPORTANT

If you do not agree with these rules, that's totally fine. No one is obligated to use the washing machine service. You can always use the laundromats located around the house.
